71. Merle F. PASCH was born on 5 June 1916 in Clifton Township, Monroe County, WI.^28,49 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Clifton Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁸ He died on 2 September 2005 at the age of 89 in Mauston, Juneau County, WI.⁴⁹

Obituary Notes: "Merle F. Pasch, age 89, of Mauston and formerly of Kendall, was called home by his Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at Fairview Nursing home in Mauston. He was born June 5, 1916, to Ferdinand and Amanda (Zimmerman) Pasch in the Town of Clifton, Monroe County, WI. He was baptized at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church at Dorset Ridge and confirmed there on Sept. 7, 1930. He later transferred his membership to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Kendall.

He was united in marriage to Carrie G. Buchanan on Oct. 25, 1939. They farmed near Wilton and on Dorset Ridge until his retirement in April of 1974, when they moved to Kendall. In Oct of 2001 they moved to Mauston. During retirement he enjoyed golfing, woodworking, spending time and sharing stories with his grandchildren; he especially enjoyed getting together with neighbors. Merle was a longtime and dedicated member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather and great- grandfather.

In addition to his wife Carrie for 66 years, he is survived by two sons, Roger (Everly) of Eden Prairie, MN, and Rodney (Phyllis) of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Matthew (Melissa) of CT, Jessica of CA, Becky (Scott) Hershey of WI, and Beth (Sheldon) Callahan of IN; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Winchel of Boscobel; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Kendall. Pastor Fred Fedke officiated. Burial was in the Glendale Cemetery in Kendall. Relatives and friends called at the church in Kendall on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The Smith-Nelson Funeral Home Kendall asssted the family with arrangements."
