She was born Dec. 10, 1903, to Ferdinand and Amanda (Zimmerman) Pasch in the town of Clifton. She was united in marriage to Fred Saxby on Oct. 29, 1924, at Dorset Ridge. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1976. She was a faithful member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church at Kendall and a member of the Ladies Aids. Leona enjoyed card club while living in Wilton and was well known for her custard pie. Leona also enjoyed crocheting, and her specialty was angels and bells. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by a son, Harold (Angie) of Wilton; a daughter, Gladys Carter of New Lisbon, Wis; a daughter-in-law, Sharon of Lodi, Wis.; three grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; a great-greatgranddaughter; a brother, Merle (Carrie) Pasch of Mauston; and sister Mabel Winchel of Boscobel, Wis. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Raymond; a son-in-law, Kenneth Carter; a grandson, Richard Carter; a brother, Oscar Pasch; and two sisters, Dorothy Herdliska and Olga Cook, Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 29, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kendall, Wis. Pastor Fred Fedke will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery at Wilton. Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church today from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Smith-Nelson Funeral Home in Kendall is assisting the family with arrangements. Leona PASCH and Fred E. "Freddie" SAXBY were married on 29 October 1924 in Dorset Ridge, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.49 Fred E. "Freddie" SAXBY, son of Stephen D. SAXBY and Louise "Lizzie" BUKATZ, was born in June 1899 in Wisconsin.8 He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.8 He died on 7 July 1976 at the age of 77.58,116 (The cemetery gravestone list indicates that he died in 1977.)
