The St. John's Lutheran Church, Ridgeville, Cemetery records and the Monroe County Heritage Book article list it as 6 May 1827. The Pergande Family Group Sheet lists it as 5 Jun 1827. Mr. Wilde was born in Ochten Hagen (sic, Uchtenhagen), Germany, Oct 29, 1830, coming to America in the year 1862. He remained in Milwaukee about 3 years; from there he moved to Ridgeville, residing on a farm up to the time of his death. Four children were born to them, namely Frank, Mrs. Herman Gerke, Mrs. A. Vincenz, and Mrs. F. Pergande, all of Ridgeville.

The funeral took place at 1 o'clock from the German Lutheran Church. He leaves to mourn, his aged wife and children, 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren."
