Karl Wilhelm "Charles" PFETSCHER Sr. was born about 1828 in Baden-Wurttemberg Province, Preussen (Prussia).1,2 (It must be confirmed that his parents were John and Margaret; they were living near him during the 1860 Census and all were born in Baden.) He appeared in the census in 1860 in Holmes Township, Crawford County, OH.1 His household consisted of Charles, Fredericka and their children, Ernst, Bertha and Carl. His occupation was "Farmer" and his surname was listed as "Pfetcher." He appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.3 His occupation was "Farmer." Charles died before 1880 at the age of 52.2,4 (He was not listed with his wife and family during the 1880 Census, nor was he listed with his wife and son Karl in the church Communion Records in 1889, so it is assumed that he died before then.)

Karl Wilhelm "Charles" PFETSCHER Sr. and Anna Katharina Fredericka "Kathryn" MONCH were married.2,5 (He was not listed with the family during the 1880 Census.) Anna Katharina Fredericka "Kathryn" MONCH was born on 17 April 1826 in Baden-Wurttemberg Province, Preussen (Prussia).1,2,6,7,8,9 (Her maiden name was listed as "Merch" in the marriage record of her daughter Anna. It was listed as "Morsch" in an article in the Monroe County Heritage Book.) (The 1860 Census listed her birth place as "Saxony.") She appeared in the census in 1860 in Holmes Township, Crawford County, OH.1 She was Lutheran on 5 July 1868 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.4 when she became a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She and her son Karl are listed in the church Communion Register in the early 1890's. Kathryn appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.3 She appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.2 She died on 22 June 1896 at the age of 70.9 Kathryn was buried on 26 June 1896 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.9 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.

He appeared in the census in 1860 in Holmes Township, Crawford County, OH.1 He appeared in the census in 1870 in Lykens Township, Crawford County, OH.10 (He was living in the household of his uncle John Pfetscher and his wife, Mary Ann.) Ernest appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.2 He was living with his mother and siblings. He appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.11 He was living with his sister Catherine and her family. He died in 1922 at the age of 68. Ernest was buried in 1922 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.12 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

He appeared in the census in 1860 in Holmes Township, Crawford County, OH.1 He appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.3 Charley was confirmed on 21 March 1875 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.8 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.2 He was Lutheran in 1899 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.4 He was listed on the Communion Records of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the early 1890's. Charley appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.11 He was living with his sister Catherine and her family. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.14 He was living with his nephew, Arthur Eckelberg. He died in 1925 at the age of 67. Charley was buried in 1925 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.12 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
