Franz "Frank" PROCHASKA Sr. was born in November 1849 in Bohemia (Czech Republic).^1,2,3,4 (In the 1910 Census, his age was listed as 60, indicating a birth year of about 1849; his birth place was listed as Germany.) He emigrated in 1867 from Austria.⁴ He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ Frank was naturalized on 7 November 1914 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ He was granted his U.S. citizenship at the Circuit Court. He died in 1929 at the age of 80.¹ He was buried in 1929 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Franz "Frank" PROCHASKA Sr. and Anna "Annie" TUMA were married on 6 October 1872 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,4,7 (According to the 1900 Census, they had 10 children, of whom 7 were living.) Anna "Annie" TUMA, daughter of Antone TUMA and Mary UNKNOWN (TUMA), was born in December 1847 in Austria.^2,3,4 (In the 1910 Census, her age was listed as 58, indicating a birth year of about 1851; her birth place was listed as Germany.)
