Obituary Notes: "Leona H. Goff, 92, of Sparta, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2006, at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center, Sparta. She was born June 14, 1914, in St. Paul, MN to William and Hattie (Yahnke) Steinke.

Leona married Newell W. Goff of Apr. 21, 1937. To this union five children were born: Carol (Jerry) Laxton, William, Dawn (Gene) Kruk, Sandra (Dean) Wegner and James (Karen) Goff.

She is survived by four of her children; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two step grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Hannum and Arlys Bohnert; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Newell, in 1981; one son in 1999; her parents, William and Hattie; two sisters; and one brother.

Family graveside services will be held at a later date."
