Rolland "Stub" GRIFFIN (`) (~) and Leola J. GREGOROFF were married on 9 October 1940 in Dubuque, Dubuque County, IA.^57,248 Leola J. GREGOROFF, daughter of Barney GREGOROFF and Mabel SYMMONDS, was born on 16 November 1919 in Everett, Snohomish County, WA.^248,249

She had polio at some point because she was on crutches all of her adult life. She appeared in the census in 1920 in Everett, Snohomish County, WA.²⁴⁸ She appeared in the census in 1930 in Grant Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁴⁸ Leola died on 31 July 2010 at the age of 90 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁴⁹

Leola was born November 16, 1919 in Washington, to Barney and Mabel (Symmonds) Gregoroff. She was united in marriage to Rolland (Stub) Griffin on October 9, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa.

She spent her life as a loving wife, mother, and proud grandmother. She was a talented seamstress and worked many years at Band Box in Tomah.

Leola is survived by her children, Eugene (Barb) Griffin of Stevens Point, Wis., Virginia (Charles) Picard of Tomah, Howard (Lynn) Griffin of Kronenwetter, Wis., Veva (Robert) Knutson of Rosholt, Wis.I, Vernon (Janet) Griffin of Madison, Wis., and Lisa Griffin of Tomah; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law Bernadine Griffin of Tomah; special niece, Ida Diefenbach of Raymore, Mo.; along with many other relatives and friends.

Leola was preceded in death by her husband, Rolland; mother, Mabel Gregoroff; a son, Roger Griffin; brothers, Vernon and Wilbur “Bill” Gregoroff.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 3, 2010, 1 p.m. at Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. The Rev. David Dahl officiated. Burial followed in the LaGrange Cemetery, Tomah. Family and friends called at the the funeral home for visitation, Tuesday, 11 a.m. until the time of service."
