16. John James RATTLE was born on 23 October 1933 in Monroe County, WI.² He died on 23 December 2007 at the age of 74 in Farmerville, Union County, LA.¹¹

Obituary Notes: "On October 23, 1933 John James Rattle was born to Oscar Marion and Mable (Elliott) Rattle in Monroe county, Tomah, Wisconsin. He departed this life in Farmerville - Lake D' Arbonne, LA on December 23, 2007 at the age of 74 years. John was baptized a member of the Catholic Church.

John graduated from Tomah High school in 1952. He was a Letterman in football and boxing. He was awarded 1 Silver glove and 3 Golden Glove awards. He served his machinist apprenticeship and worked for the Tomah and Milwaukee Railroad in Tomah, WI.

He was a Korean era veteran of the Wisconsin National Guard serving from 1951 - 1961 with the 732 Ordinance Maintenance Battalion Co. B, 32 Division.

John retired from Seagate Technology in Oklahoma City, after 33 and half years. as a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer. After retirement he continued to design and worked on many projects. He enjoyed boating, fishing and feeding the wood ducks.

He was preceded in death his parents Oscar Marion and Mable (Elliott) Rattle. His sisters, Ione, Gwen and Jean, and brothers James, Oscar (Buster) and Richard.

He leaves his wife Cora of the home: they shared 32 years of the joys and sorrows of life together. daughters Stephany and husband Dale White of Augusta, Ga. & children Avalon, Ash, and Sean of Augusta: Jackie Garcia of Bethany, OK and children Tiffany and Tony and grand daughter: Mariah all of Bethany: and Colleen and husband Ken Russell of Yukon, OK and children: Tara, Jacob and David of Yukon: step- daughter; Carla and husband Michael Munday of Houston, TX and daughter Chelsea of Houston: a brother Keith and his wife Mitzi Rattle of Denver, Colorado. and a sister: Phyllis Schleicher of Tomah, Wisconsin. John. also had many fond and loving memories of his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. in the Smith and Turner chapel in Yukon, OK with burial in the Yukon cemetery."
