38. Vern RUDOLPH was born on 5 April 1931.²³ He died on 30 September 2018 at the age of 87 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²³

Obituary Notes: "Vern L. Rudolph, age 87, of Shennington passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, at the Tomah Memorial Hospital. He was born April 5, 1931, to George and Ione (Rattle) Rudolph. Vern married Edith Hughart Aug. 10, 1954.

Vern served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He had 58 jumps as a part of the 38th parallel 2nd platoon. He was an avid, lifelong Packers fan and especially enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and reading westerns.

He is survived by his children, Cindy (Earl Resendez) Coleman, Karen Kelsey, Michael Rudolph, Sandra (Roger) Sagler and Timothy (Dee) Rudolph; 10 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren;, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith in 2014; a brother, Gerald Rudolph; a grandson, Colt James DeCora; great-granddaughter, Amyiah Jo; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Carl Hedstrom; and a son-in-law, LeRoy Kelsey.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday. Burial will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah. Everyone is welcome to join the family at 12:30 p.m. at the Backwater Bar & Grill, E832 State Hwy, 21, Wyeville.

Vern’s family would like to thank Dr. Schanhofer and Dr. Erickson and the entire staff at the Tomah Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care they gave Dad."
