1. Alexios Harry "Alex" REEGA was born on 31 December 1887 in Greece.1,2,3 The 1920 Census listed his birth place as "Ukrania," the 1930 as Greece, and the 1940 as Austria. According to the 1930, both of his parents were born in Greece.

His family name may originally have been spelled "Reegas," which was common in Greece. He emigrated in 1911 from Greece.1,3,4 His emigration year is listed as 1911 in the 1920 Census, but the 1930 lists it as 1903. He cannot be located in the 1910 Census, so it is believed that he emigrated in 1911.

The U.S. Immigration records list an "Alexios Rigas," age 24, Single, "Farm Laborer," home (?) Botzirdardi, who emigrated on the S.S. Columbia from Patras, Greece on 3 October 1911. His emigration destination in America was Clinton, MA. The name and age are a fit, so that may have been him. He appeared in the census on 19 January 1920 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee Township, Milwaukee County, WI.3 His household was at 622 North 19th Street in the 4th Ward and his occupation was "Laborer, Foundry." He was listed as "Alec Reigda," and the Census indicated that he was not able to read or write English.

Living in his household was Steve "Lushku," age 30, emigrated in 1913 from "Ukrania," and listed as a Lodger. He may have been a brother of Alex' wife, Eva. Alex appeared in the census in 1930 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee Township, Milwaukee County, WI.1 His household was at 432 North 29th Street in the 16th Ward and his occupation was "Moulder, Caskets." He appeared in the census in 1940 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee Township, Milwaukee County, WI.5 His household was at 432 North 29th Street in the 16th Ward and his occupation was "Molder, Steel Mill." He died on 31 March 1977 at the age of 89 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee Township, Milwaukee County, WI.2,6

Alexios Harry "Alex" REEGA and Eva H. HLUSKO were married about 1915.1 Eva H. HLUSKO7, daughter of (Unknown) HLUSKO and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (HLUSKO), was born on 12 January 1896 in Greece.1,3,8,9 The 1920 Census lists her birth place as "Ukrania," the 1930 as Greece, and the 1940 as Austria. According to the 1930 Census, both of her parents were born in Greece.

(Her surname is spelled "Hlushko" in a U.S. Social Security Applications and Claims Index entry related to her daughter Catherine.)
