Jasper Dunham ROBERTSON was born on 5 August 1898 in Nichols, Tioga County, NY.^50,551 He died on 8 November 1972 at the age of 74 in Tioga Township, Tioga County, PA.⁵⁵¹ Obituary Notes: "Jasper D. Robertson, 74, of Nichols, N.Y., died suddenly at his home Wednesday morning. He was born in the town of Nichols, August 5, 1898, son of the late Fred and Edna (Dunham) Robertson. He was survived by one daughter, Mrs. Sterling (Jane) Granger, Port Jervis; one son, J. Stuart Robertson, Nichols; ten grandchildren three great-grandchild; one brother. Dr. Archie Robertson, Delmar, N Y.; also several nieces and nephews.

He was a retired merchant of the J.D. Robertson & Son Farm Supplies, Nichols with the John Deere Agency and Hardware Store and was past mayor of Nichols. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Nichols, past master and 50 year member of the Westbrook Lodge No. 333 F&AM, past president of the famous Kirby Band. He was a member of the Nichols Ro-KI, a 25-year member of the Nichols Grange No. 1410, past trustee of the Village Board, and honorary member of the Wapassening Hose Co, Past Trustee of Nichols Cemetery, a member of New York State Retail Hardware Assoc and a member of the Cashmere Grotto, Elmlra.

Funeral and committal services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m at the Sutfln & Plass Funeral Chapel, Nichols, N.Y. The Rev. Benjamin Klauser, retired Presbyterian minister of Nichols officiating. Burial will be In the Nichols Cemetery."
