He was appointed Postmaster in Mather, WI on 11 Mar 1898. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI.³⁹⁷ His occupation was listed as "Merchant, Retail." Dorene Wilhelmine DEWEY was born on 25 October 1911 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI.201,276 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI.397 She graduated in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.400 from Tomah High School. Dorene appeared in the census in 1930 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI.398 Before 1965 she was a school teacher in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.201,401 She also taught in Warrens. She died on 5 February 1965 at the age of 53 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.201 Dorene was buried on 7 February 1965 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.229 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

DEWEY was born on 7 April 1914 in Wisconsin.397,402 He appeared in the census in 1920 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI.397 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI.398 Harold died in November 1987 at the age of 73 in Virginia.402
