Obituary Notes: "Charley Wood Sr., 73, of Tomah passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at his home in Tomah. He was born May 9, 1940, to Albert and Jenetta (Moore) Wood in Tomah. He attended Tomah High School before joining the Army in 1957. He was a cook in the Army and served until 1959. Charley lived in Illinois before moving back to the Tomah area.

He was united in marriage to Josephine, May 29, 1965, in Capron, Ill. Charley retired from USEMCO in 2000. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool and cards, watching Western movies and throwing horseshoes. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine, of Tomah; his children, Charlene (Robert) Tanner of Denham Springs, La., Dawn McGinnis of Oakdale, Wis., Charley Jr. (Darlene) Wood of Tomah, and Lonnie (Sandy) Wood of Tomah; grandchildren, Jamie, Ben, Robert, Jeremy, Albert, Jeffrey Jr., Duane, Desiree, Christine, Cira, Justin, Johnny, Reca, Lonnie Jr., Matthew, Caitlin, Zachary, Jason and Melissa; 15 great-grandchildren; his sister, Thelma (Jim) Bronner; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jenetta Wood; his son, Jeff; a grandchild, Cody; his siblings, Minerva “Babe” Courtade, Betty Brennecka, Helen Chambers, Doris Morrow, Eldon Wood, Clarence Wood and infant sister, Margie Wood.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 14, 2013 with burial at the Wood Cemetery, rural Tomah."

Obituary Notes: "Josephine “Jo” Wood, 69, of Tomah passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Mayo Health System in Eau Claire, Wis. She was born Dec. 18, 1944, to Joseph and Cedell (Hansen) Robb in Prentice, Wis.

On May 29, 1965, she was united in marriage to Charley Wood Sr. in Capron, Ill. They lived in Illinois and Louisiana but eventually moved back to the Tomah area. In her spare time she enjoyed doing many things, baking, fishing, plastic canvas, crocheting, playing cards, listening to music and dancing. More than anything she loved spending time with her family.

Josephine is survived by her children, Charlene (Robert) Tanner of Denham Springs, La., Dawn McGinnis of Oakdale, Wis., Charley Jr. (Darlene) Wood of Tomah, and Lonnie (Sandy) Wood of Tomah; grandchildren, Jamie, Ben, Robert, Jeremy, Albert, Jeffrey Jr., Duane, Desiree, Christine, Cira, Justin, Johnny, Reca, Lonnie Jr., Matthew, Caitlin, Zachary, Jason and Melissa; 16 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Darlene (Dave) Cain and Charlene (Carl) Reynolds, Sheila (Raymond) Van Dan, Marilyn (James) Goodman, Colleen Robb; a brother, Joseph (Julie) Robb Jr.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dec. 10, 2013, Charley Wood Sr.; an infant son, William; her parents, Joseph and Cedell Robb; a son, Jeff Wood Sr.; a grandchild, Cody; her siblings, Patrick Robb, Daniel Robb, June Mullis; along with her father and mother-in-law; and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Pastor Ed Stigen will officiate. Burial will follow in Wood Cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and again from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah."
