She was born April 29, 1937, in Valley Junction, to Albert and Jenetta (Moore) Wood. On Nov. 19, 1955, she was united in marriage to Stanley V. Brennecka in Capron, IL. Betty was very active at the Tomah Health Care Center; she was president and vice president of the resident board and also participated in all activities at the Care Center. She is survived by her mother, Jenetta of Tomah; three sons, Rodney of Harvard, IL, Vernon of Tomah and Keith of Tomah; one brother, Charley Wood of Tomah; two sisters, Babe Courtade and Thelma Bronner, both of Tomah; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; her father, Albert; two brothers, Clarence Wood and Eldon Wood; three sisters, Helen Chambers, Margie Wood and Doris Marrow. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 28, at 5 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Pastor Clyde Ewers officiated. Visitation was from 3 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial was Wednesday, June 29, at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock, IL. The Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah assisted the family with arrangements." She was buried on 28 June 2005 in Woodstock, McHenry County, IL.139 in the McHenry County Memorial Park.
