2. John ROOTE I (*)(|)(=)(:)(/)⁶ was born on 24 June 1576 in Badby, Northamptonshire, England.^1,8 (The attached map is of the Badby, England. Badby is located just north of Birmingham in central England.)
About 1669 he was a freeman in Connecticut.¹ with an estate valuation of 166 pounds sterling, according to the 1670 U.S. Census in Connecticut.
He died on 3 June 1683 at the age of 106 in Badby, Northamptonshire, England.^1,9,10 (The research of Richard Ripley indicates that he died in 1640 in Badby, England.)

(He and his wife must have eventually returned to England, because both are reported to have died there.)

Mary Ann RUSSELL (*)(|)(=)(:)(/)⁶, daughter of William Francis RUSSELL and Anne FORESTER, was born on 18 April 1574 in Badby, Northamptonshire, England.^1,8,10 (Her given name is sometimes listed as "Ann.") She died in 1608 at the age of 34 in Badby, Northamptonshire, England.³
