Luella Bertha SCHMECKEL and August Lorenz "Curly" SCHAMENS were married on 5 August 1967.10 August Lorenz "Curly" SCHAMENS, son of Julius Theodor Franz SCHAMENS and Emilie GIESE, was born on 17 April 1905 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.10,13,18,19 He appeared in the census in 1905 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.20 He appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.7 Curly appeared in the census in 1920 in Leon Township, Monroe County, WI.21 Between 1922 and 1972 he was a barber in Wisconsin.10 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Random Lake, Sheboygan County, WI.22 His occupation was listed as "Barber, Tonsorial Parlor." He and his wife were renting their home. Curly appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.23 His household was at 410 McLean Avenue and his occupation was "Barber, Barber Shop."

Obituary Notes: "August L. Schamens, 70, 410 McLean Avenue, Tomah, died (of Lymphoma cancer) today (Monday) May 5 at the Tomah Memorial Hospital. He was born April 17, 1905 at Wilton to Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schamens. He married the late Edna Kewit in 1929. She died in 1967. He later married Louella Drowatzky. He was a Tomah barber for 50 years prior to his retirement several years ago..

He is survived by his widow; two sons, Lt. Col. Kenneth Schamens of O'Fallen, Ill.; and Lt. Col. Maurice Schamens of Bellview, Neb.; one sister, Mrs. Irma Mattson; and one brother, Franz, both of Sparta; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church with Pastor O. W. Heier officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery."

He was buried on 7 May 1975 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.8,10,18 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Luella Bertha SCHMECKEL and Leo Ray Edmund DROWATZKY were married on 27 November 1926.10 Leo Ray Edmund DROWATZKY, son of Albert E. DROWATZKY and Auguste MUSCH, was born on 30 November 1905 in Monroe County, WI.13,21,24 He appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.21 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.17 His occupation was "Farmer, General Farm." Leo died on 8 November 1960 at the age of 54.4 He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.25 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
