"Babe" KING was born on 22 January 1895 in Monroe County, WI.^1,23 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ She graduated in 1913 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁹ from Tomah High School. Babe died on 24 September 1971 at the age of 76.¹ She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁹ in the Oak Grove Cemetery (Section OP, Block 2, Lot 37).

Virgil M. "Babe" KING and Fred A. "Fritz" BATTALIA were married on 4 December 1926.¹ Fred A. "Fritz" BATTALIA graduated in 1913 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁹ from Tomah High School. His surname may have been "Baffalias.")
