The deceased was born in Wales, coming to this country in early life. He had resided in this city about two years, moving here from the town of Lincoln, this county, where he had lived for over twenty years.

His death resulted from a complication of diseases of long standing. He leaves a widow, two sons, and three daughters to mourn his loss.

The funeral took place on Tuesday in the M.E. Church, and in the absence of the pastor the services were conducted by Rev. E. L. Morse, of the Congregational Church. The remains were intered in the Kirby cemetery." He was buried on 9 June 1896 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.80,83,84 in the Lincoln-Peterson-Kirby Cemetery.
