79. James SOULE Sr. (<) (~) was born on 25 May 1761 in Westport Point, Bristol County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America.¹ He died on 8 November 1821 at the age of 60.¹

James SOULE Sr. (<) (~) and Patience MACOMBER (<) (~) were married on 6 December 1789 in Westport Point, Bristol County, MA.^1,3 He and his wife emigrated from Westport, Maine to Vermont in 1790. Patience MACOMBER (<) (~), daughter of William MACOMBER and Lusanna HICKS, was born on 29 April 1769 in Of Westport Point, Bristol County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America.¹ She appeared in the census in 1850 in Danby, Rutland County, VT.³⁴ She was living with her son John. She died on 8 November 1859 at the age of 90.^1,27

He appeared in the census in 1860 in Danby, Rutland County, VT.³⁵ Living in his household were Hannah Warner, 57; Mary Warner, 16; and his brothers Wesson and Pardon. His occupation was "Farmer."
