350. Forrest Sowle "Stub" HART was born on 26 November 1924 in Monroe County, WI.64,205 He died on 31 May 2013 at the age of 88 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.205

Obituary Notes: "Forrest S. Hart, 88 of Tomah passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013, at his home. He was born on Nov. 16, 1924, to Charles and Fern Hart. He was a member of the Tomah High School Graduating Class of 1942. I n 1943 Forrest was drafted into the U.S. Army and in 1948, enlisted. Forrest proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army serving during World War II and the Korean War. He spent over 6 ½ years in the service.

On Jan. 3, 1953, Forrest was united in marriage to Joy Parrish in Tomah. Earlier in life, Forrest worked for Rainey’s Dairy. In 1979, Forrest retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital, Tomah where he worked for over 31 years as a nursing assistant. During his retirement years, Forrest continued to be very active. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying deer hunting, especially with his grandchildren, fishing and gardening. Forrest had a beautiful garden filled with delicious vegetables and colorful flowers. He also enjoyed woodworking and sharing that trade with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Tomah and also a member of the Warrens VFW. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joy of Tomah; a son, Wayne and Nancy (Tralmer) of warrens; Daughters, Cynthia and Doug Lambert of Warrens, Juanita and Richard Hancock of Warrens, Lorraine Stronger of Prarie Du Sac; a son-in-law, Dan Rezin of Warrens; sisters, Ruth Hart of Warrens, Marlene Anderson of Wausau, Delores and Kenneth Randall of Tomah; a brother, Donald and Sara Hart of Onnards Calif.; sister-in-laws, Carol and Donald Isbell of Janesville, Barbara Davidson of La Crosse, Melva and Dwain Yittri of Milton Wis.; a brother-in-law, Melvin Jr. (Bud) and Jarda Parrish, of La Crosse; 16 Grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Fern Hart; a daughter, Pamala Rezin; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Hart; a great-granddaughter, Emma Gene Hart; sisters Maxine Hart, Helen (Robert) Anderson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gill Anderson James Abear, Babe (Dale) Huntington, and Donna Lou (Leonard) De Florian; mother-in-law, Helen Youngs; and father-in-law, Melvin Parrish.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, Tomah. Pastor Edwin Stigen will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home."
