Jeanette was buried on 29 December 1994 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.96,215,302 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Jeanette Norma KENYON (`) (~) and Frank A. STORKEL were married on 19 July 1950 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.112,119,124,301,303 Frank A. STORKEL, son of Herman Louis STORKEL and Hulda A. GRAMENZ, was born on 30 January 1912 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.124,301 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.94 His occupation was listed as "Clerk, Hardware Store." After 1945 he was a part-owner of the Tomah Hardware store in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.215,301

The following was extracted from the Monroe County, Wisconsin Heritage Book, Taylor Publishing Company, Article 847, dated 1984: "Frank and his two brothers, Arnold and Gilbert, grew up at 415 Hollister, in a house built by his father, about 1914. One block south of Frank lived his grandparents, Louis and Minnie Mau Storkel. Louis had come to Tomah from Germany, in the 1880's. For many years, he ran a successful truck garden and greenhouse. This house and greenhouse are still located on Hollister Avenue. Two blocks east of Frank, his mother's parents, William and Bertha Westphal Gramenz lived.

He attended Lutheran Grade School and Tomah High School. He went into the Air Corps during World War II and served as a Master Sergeant in the 321st Bombardment Group, in Africa and Italy. After is discharge, he went to work at the Tomah Hardware, and has been there since, in partnership with his brother, Gilbert. The Tomah Hardware has been owned by the Storkel family, since 1918, when Frank's father, Herman, purchased it from George Ubele." Frank died on 17 June 1994 at the age of 82 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.124 He was buried on 20 June 1994 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.96,215,253 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

David Frank STORKEL was born on 24 August 1955 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.124,274,301 He died on 6 July 2008 at the age of 52 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.124

Obituary Notes: "David F. Storkel, 52, of La Crosse and formerly of Tomah, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, in La Crosse. He was born Aug. 24, 1955, to Frank and Jeanette (Kenyon) Storkel in Tomah. He was a member of the 1973 graduating class of Tomah High School. He worked for Inland Printing in La Crosse. He enjoyed grilling out and having fun with his friends. He was hardworking and determined to do things his way. He was a very proud grandfather, and enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany (Matt) Bever of Tomah; three grandchildren, Lee, Tyler and Jaydn; three brothers, Craig and Jim, both of Warrens, and Scott of Madison; a sister, Holly Storkel of Sedona, AZ, other relatives and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St. Pastor Edwin Stigen will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery."
