STANDIFORD was born on 26 February 1898 in Wisconsin.^10,22 He appeared in the census in 1900 in Webster Township, Vernon County, WI.¹⁰ He appeared in the census in 1910 in Angelo, Angelo Township, Monroe County, WI.²³ Virgil appeared in the census in 1930 in Racine, Mount Pleasant Township, Racine County, WI.²⁶ His household was at 1402 Grange Avenue and his occupation was "Clerk Sales, Cigar Store." He died in September 1984 at the age of 86.²²

Virgil A. STANDIFORD and Elsie B. UNKNOWN (STANDIFORD) were married about 1921.²⁶ Elsie B. UNKNOWN (STANDIFORD) was born about 1900 in Wisconsin.²⁶ (According to the 1930 Census, her father was born in Sweden and her mother in Wisconsin.) She appeared in the census in 1930 in Racine, Mount Pleasant Township, Racine County, WI.²⁶
