(It is not known if he was a direct ancestor of (Unknown) Standiford (born about 1847 in Ohio), who was married to Ida "Addie" (Unknown), and was the father of John, James "Frank" and Mary; or to John William Standiford (born 1869, Ohio), who was married to Laura B. (Unknown), and was the father of Mabel, Ralph, Lilla, Hazel, Oakel (?), Verlin, Vera, Mary and Erma.

It is definitely possible that William was related to (Unknown) Standiford, because his descendants lived in Vernon County, Wisconsin, near where some of William's descendants lived.

. He served in the military in 1812 in Maryland Colony, British Colonial America.⁵ He served in the War of 1812. He appeared in the census in 1850 in Monroe Township, Perry County, OH.³ His occupation was "Farmer." William died on 24 May 1853 at the age of 73 in Monroe Township, Perry County, OH.⁵

William Henry STANDIFORD and Mary Margaret KOHN were married on 10 December 1813 in Baltimore (Independent City), MD.^3,5 Mary Margaret KOHN⁵ was born on 30 October 1784 in Somerset County, PA.^1,3,6 She appeared in the census in 1850 in Monroe Township, Perry County, OH.³

. She died on 24 October 1865 at the age of 80 in Webster Township, Vernon County, WI.¹ Mary was buried in Vernon County, WI.¹ in the Bloomingdale Cemetery.
