1. Gottlieb Ludwig STEINKE was born on 12 September 1835 in Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹ He emigrated in 1888 from Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹ Between 1888 and 1895 he was a farmer in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.² Gottlieb was Lutheran on 15 September 1889 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,4 when he became a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He died on 22 July 1895 at the age of 59 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ He was buried in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
