43. Glen Dale PERGANDE Sr. was born on 8 May 1930.10 He died on 26 June 1973 at the age of 43.125 He was buried in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.126 in the Warren Mills Cemetery.

Glen Dale PERGANDE Sr. and Marian A. RICE were married about 1953.42,127 Marian A. RICE, daughter of Benjamin RICE and Martha UNKNOWN (RICE), was born in 1920.127 She lived at a nursing home in Baraboo, Washington Township, Sauk County, WI in May 2015.128

Glen Dale PERGANDE Sr. and Carol Jeanette GRIFFIN (`) (~) were married on 15 August 1954 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.129 Carol Jeanette GRIFFIN (`) (~), daughter of Lyle Kenneth GRIFFIN and Myrtle May DENSMORE, was born on 7 July 1936 in Monroe County, WI.53,130 She died on 22 October 2015 at the age of 79 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.129

Obituary Notes: "Carol J. Brown, 79, of Warrens passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family, Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at the Serenity House in Tomah. She was born July 7, 1936, to Lyle K. and Myrtle A. (Densmore) Griffin in Sparta. Carol was a member of the Tomah High School graduating class of 1954.

On Aug. 14, 1954, Carol was united in marriage to Glen Dale Pergande at St. Luke’s Church in the town of Knapp, Wis., and later was united in marriage to Haze Brown. She worked as a waitress for the Hearty Platter from 1987 to 2001. She was a member of the town of Lincoln Fire Department and of Saint Matthews Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren, taking pictures on her old Polaroid camera, and learning about her ancestry. She also enjoyed going camping and spending time outdoors. Carol loved spending time with her birds, most recently her cockatiel, Simeon, and her small dog, Peaches. Mostly she loved taking care of others.

She will be remembered for opening her home and heart to anyone who needed a place to stay. She will also be remembered for feeding anyone who was hungry, even if they were just passing through. Her family will miss her delicious homemade bread, fresh baked homemade cinnamon rolls, and especially her made from scratch pancakes and syrup every Sunday morning. Carol will be remembered most for her bright smile and her very happy personality.

She is survived by her children, Glen (Diane) Pergande, Bruce Pergande, Mark (Rose) Pergande, Alan Pergande, Dale (Dena) Brown and April (Craig) Handy; her grandchildren, Chad (Tiffany) Pergande, Kurt Pergande, Brian Pergande, Amber Pergande, Aaron (Lindsey) Pergande, Mindy (Scott) Wilson, Timothy (Brianna) Pergande, Dryke Brown, Harley (Jake) Brown, Hannah Libbey, Dagon Brown, Jessie (Randy) Burton, Josh (Jessica) Handy, Becca Handy and Kyle Handy; her great-grandchildren, Thomas, James and Lucas Wilson; Cash, Daisy, Zoe, Aubrey, Destiny, Eon, Alysha and Olivia Pergande; Reiley and Ryker Burton; her brothers and sisters, Dwight (Janis) Griffin, Christine (John) Dunahee, Charlotte Gebhardt, Ramonoa Brzeczek; and a sister-in-law, Nana Griffin. Also by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and a sister-in-law, Doug (Mary) Griffin and Donald Griffin; sisters and brother-in-law, Garnet (Al) Tucker, Wanda Griffin, Chet Brzeczek, Gordie Gebhardt; and a niece, Vicki Matuschka.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, 4285 U.S. Hwy. 12, Warrens. Pastor Phillip Enderle will officiate. Burial will be in the La Grange Cemetery."
