Friedrich Wilhelm "Fred" STELTER was born on 14 October 1872 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,12 He was baptized on 1 June 1873 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ Fred died on 7 July 1948 at the age of 75 in Wibaux, Wibaux County, MT.¹² He was buried in July 1948 in Wibaux, Wibaux County, MT.¹²

Friedrich Wilhelm "Fred" STELTER and Mary Elizabeth BURNS were married on 15 February 1898 in Monroe County, WI.^9,12,13

(They were not able to be found in the 1900 Census in Wisconsin.) Mary Elizabeth BURNS, daughter of William BURNS and Elizabeth BRUCE, was born on 13 February 1880 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^12,14,15 She appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ She died on 21 July 1909 at the age of 29 in Glen Ullin, Morton County, ND.^12,15 Mary was buried on 25 July 1909 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^12,13,15 in the Oak Grove Cemetery (Section 1A, Block 2, Lot 7) with her parents, and some of her siblings.
