2. Samuel STREET was born about 1834 in England, United Kingdom.^5,6 According to the 1900 Census of his daughters Addie and Ida, he was born in England.

His parents are believed to have been William and Elizabeth (Unknown) Street, who were the parents of Henry Street, but this must be confirmed. The parents would have been born about 1815 in England. Henry was born in 1841--perhaps a few years after Samuel's birth.

Both Samuel and Henry lived in the Baraboo area after then emigrated from England, later lived in Monroe County, and served in the 19th Regiment in the Civil War. He served in the military between 1860 and 1862.⁷ The "Wisconsin Losses in the Civil War" website lists a Samuel A. Street of the 19th Infantry. That may have been him. He died in 1862 at the age of 28.⁷ in the Civil War.

Samuel STREET and Louisa W. UNKNOWN (STREET) were married in 1857.^7,8 The 1860 Census for Greenfield Township, Baraboo Post Office, Sauk County, WI, contains the listing for "S. Street," age 26, born in England, occupation "Laborer." That is believed to have been him. Louisa was not living with him. Louisa W. UNKNOWN (STREET) was born on 9 April 1839 in Illinois.^5,9,10,11,12 (Her 1880 Census record lists her birth place, as well as that of her parents, as Illinois. According to the 1900, 1920 and 1930 Census' for her daughter Addie, she was born in Illinois; the 1900 Census for her daughter Ida listed her birth place as Ohio, but the 1930 listed it as Illinois. Her obituary listed her birth place as Kenosha Township, Kenosha County, WI, but mentions that she lived in Illinois as a child.) She appeared in the census in 1870 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁹ She appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ Louisa died on 27 May 1909 at the age of 70.¹⁰ She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁰ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
