He died on 6 March 2016 at the age of 73 in Omaha, Douglas County, NE. Obituary Notes: "Richard was born April 7, 1942 to Edward, Jr. and Rhoda Serp. He married Sally M., and Dick and Sally were blessed with two sons and a daughter and their spouses, and seven grandchildren.

Richard T. "Dick" Serp entered eternity March 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left with memories are his wife, children and spouses, grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law, and a stepsister and her husband, as well as extended family and friends."

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Friday, March 11th, at Rockbrook United Methodist Church, 9855 W. Center Rd.,Omaha, Nebraska. Services 10:30 am Saturday, March 12th at the church. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery."

Dick was buried on 12 March 2016 in Omaha, Douglas County, NE. in the Resurrection Cemetery.
