He and his wife and children were living with his father on Old Pennsylvania Road. His occupation was "Farmer, Poultry Business," and his total wages in 1939 were $300. He died on 11 July 1973 at the age of 71 in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. James was buried in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
