44. Jeannine Ellen BERNHARDT was baptized in 1935 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³¹ at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was born on 14 September 1935 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^29,31 She was confirmed in 1949 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³¹ at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Jeannine graduated in 1953 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^31,32,33 from Tomah High School.

Jeannine Ellen BERNHARDT and Robert Keith "Bob" MURRAY were married on 13 February 1954 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³¹ at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Robert Keith "Bob" MURRAY, son of Ralph Alexander MURRAY and Marguerite RICKON, was born on 18 February 1933 in Wisconsin.³¹ He was born in Dellona, which may be near Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI. He graduated in 1951 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³¹ from Tomah High School. He died on 19 May 2009 at the age of 76 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁴

Obituary Notes: "Robert K. Murray, 76, of Tomah, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Tomah Health Care Center. He was born Jan. 18, 1933, to Ralph and Marguerite (Rickon) Murray in Delona, WI. He was united in marriage to Jeannine Bernhardt on February 13, 1954, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomah.

Bob was a member of the Tomah High School graduating class of 1951. He owned and operated Murray’s Farm Store in Oakdale for 18 years. He farmed for many years and especially enjoyed working with horses. For 35 years, Bob enjoyed driving school bus for the Tomah School District. He served as a fire warden and also enjoyed volunteering at the Tomah Health Care Center.

One of Bob’s favorite past-times was playing Santa Claus for the Village of Oakdale and at the Little Red School House in Tomah. He loved his family and did whatever it took to provide for them. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by Jeannine of Oakdale and their children Kenneth (Kelly) of Camp Douglas, and their daughter, Danielle; Curt (Tara) of Oakdale, and their children Sacia (Ted) Williams, and Cerissa (Kevin) Spice; Kathleen (Robert) Grassman of Neenah, and their children Michael (Elizabeth) and Joanna (fiance Brian Leslie); Gina Murray of Oakdale, and her children Stephanie Bennett and Aaron Murray; Jan (Karen) of Tomah, and their children Rachel (John) Melbo, and Douglas; Annette (Mark) Smith of Tomah, and their child Cody; Layla (Philip G.) Schreiner of Tomah, and their children Noah and Logan Nauman; Kermit (Amy) of Holmen, and their children Dana, Lucas, and Nicholas; Todd (Pam) of Tomah, and their children Robert and Mallory Murray, and Sheridan and Hannah Tilson; Scott Murray of Wilton, and Diana (Travis) Swallows of Alexandria, VA, and their children Ellaina and Cole. Bob was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Shaelyn Williams, Caedus and Roman Melbo, Tyler and Kyle Grassman, Ellianna Grassman, and another on the way, Izeyha Nauman, due in June. Bob is also survived by two brothers, James (Virginia) of Tomah and Rhande (Lois) of Black River Falls, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul and William.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, at noon at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Pastor Phillip M. Enderle will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery, in the Town of Tomah."
