THOMPSON was born on 1 September 1847 in Walworth County, WI.2,4 He appeared in the census in 1850 in Lafayette Township, Walworth County, WI.3 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.4 He was living in the household of Horace and Lavina Weaver. Lavina was his birth mother and Horace was his step-father.

. Lucien served in the military about 1861.26 He served in Company K, 43rd Wisconsin Infantry. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.11 He was living with his mother and his occupation was "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1875 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.16 His household consisted of 4 males and 3 females. Lucien appeared in the census in 1880 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.1 His household consisted of "L. Thompson," age 33, born Wisconsin, occupation "Farmer;" his wife, Jenny, age 39, born New York; their son, Floyd, age 1, born Wisconsin; Kate Gilmore, an "Aunt," age 54, born New York, occupation "Tailoress;" his brother, Dwight Thompson, age 40, born New York, occupation "Farmer;" and his "Half-Brother," John Weaver, age 20, born New York, occupation "Farm Laborer."

His household was next to that of the family of Lucius S. Griggs.

. He lived at his home in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI in 1892.10,27 His farm was in Sections 21 and 28. He appeared in the census in 1900 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.8 His household consisted of Lucien, born Sep 1847, age 52, born Wisconsin, a Widower, married for 24 years, and occupation "Farming;" his son, Floyd; his daughter, Myrtle; Kate Griggs, a "Boarder;" Elwin Fish, a "Boarder;" and John McMullen, a "Boarder." Lucien appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.9 He was living with his son Floyd and his family, and his daughter Myrtle on Glendale Avenue. He died on 26 August 1912 at the age of 64.12,28 He was still living on 25 August 1912, when he was referred to in a letter written by Clarence Lucius Griggs to his cousin Elton Griggs. Lucien had developed a cancerous growth behind one of ears, had been to Rochester, Minnesota, for treatment, and, according to Clarence's letter, "won't last but a few days at most." He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.26,28 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Lucien G. THOMPSON and Jenna Agnes "Jennie" WEAVER were married on 4 July 1872 in Monroe County, WI.10,19,29 (They were step-siblings. His mother married her father in their second marriages.) Jenna Agnes "Jennie" WEAVER, daughter of Horace WEAVER and Mary CHAMBERS, was born on 30 June 1839 in Camillus, Onondaga County, NY.4,28,30 She appeared in the census in 1840 in Salina, Onandaga County, NY.31 She appeared in the census in 1850 in Bristol Township, Kenosha County, WI.30

(She could not be located in the 1860 Census.) Jennie appeared in the census in 1870 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.11 She appeared in the census in 1875 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.16 She appeared in the census in 1880 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.1 Jennie died on 24 December 1895 at the age of 56 in Monroe County, WI.28 (The Oak Grove Cemetery records list year year of death as 1896.) She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.28 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
