She was born to Albert Vincenz and Ernestine (nee) Wilde, in Ridgeville on Dec. 13, 1886. She was married to Frederick Gnewikow on November 20, 1912. One son, Odis, was born to this union. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers in infancy, and also her husband. She is survived by her son, Odis, his wife, Bernice and their five children, Robert in the state of Washington, Joyce, Mrs. Thurow of Wilton, and Richard and Sarah and David at home; one great-grandchild. She is also survived by three brothers, George Vincenz of Tomah and his wife, and by Reuben Vincenz and Vern Vincenz of Ridgeville. Funeral services were held Monday, March 18, at St. John's Lutheran Church at Ridgeville with Pastor Martin M. Lemke officiating. Burial was in Pilgrim's Home Cemetery at Norwalk." She was buried on 18 March 1968 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.33,35 Buried at Pilgrim's Home Cemetery. Elma Josephine VINCENZ and Friedrich Carl Emil "Fred" GNEWIKOW Jr. were married on 20 November 1912 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.20,33,74 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Obituary Notes: "Frederick Carl Gnewikow, the youngest son of Frederick and Wilhelmine Gnewikow, was born at Ridgeville, in the town of Wilton, Wis., on Feb. 11, 1879. On Nov. 20, 1912, he was united in marriage with Elma Vincenz of the town of Ridgeville. One child was born to this union. The deceased resided all his life at the place of his birth, enjoying good health until recently when he was afflicted with an illness which caused his death at the Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse on June 21, 1946. He passed away peacefully at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 10 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and three brothers and is survived by his bereaved wife, Elma; one son, Odis, at home; one daughter-in-law, Bernice; two grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. C. E. Berg, were held on Monday afternoon at the Ridgeville Lutheran Church. Interment was in the Norwalk Cemetery." Fred was buried on 24 June 1946 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.16,20,33,76 in the Pilgrim's Home Cemetery.
