2. Ferdinand L. VINCENZ was born on 31 January 1827 in Preussen (Prussia).1,2,3,4,5 He was one of the first settlers in Ridgeville, arriving in the 1850's.

(In the 1870 and 1880 Census' records his surname was listed as "Vincent.") (He was almost surely a brother of Frederick August Vincenz, born Jan 28, 1833, whose history is documented in Article 1162 of the Monroe County Heritage Book.) He emigrated in 1847 from Preussen (Prussia).6 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.4 (His surname was listed as "Vicene.") Ferdinand appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.5 (His birth place was listed as "Austria.") He appeared in the census in 1880 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.1 He appeared in the census in 1900 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.6 Ferdinand appeared in the census in 1905 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.7 He was living with his son Albert and his family. He died on 19 September 1908 at the age of 81 in Monroe County, WI.3 He was buried in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.8 in the Pilgrim's Home Cemetery.

Ferdinand L. VINCENZ and Jane YOUNG were married about 1855.6,9 The 1900 Census indicates that they had 4 children, of whom 3 were still living. Jane YOUNG was born in November 1824 in Scotland, United Kingdom.1,4,5,6,8 (Her age was listed as 36 in the 1860 Census, indicating a year of birth of about 1824.) She appeared in the census in 1860 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.4 She appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.5 Jane appeared in the census in 1880 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.1 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.6 She died on 5 October 1903 at the age of 78 in Monroe County, WI.10 Jane was buried after 5 October 1903 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.8 in the Pilgrim's Home Cemetery.

He appeared in the census in 1860 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.4 He died before July 1870 at the age of 14.5,6 (He was not listed with his parents in the 1870 Census, and may have died before then.)
