1. Friedrich J. "Fred" WAEGNER Sr. was born on 2 May 1841 in Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).1 (His full name may have been "Friedrick William 'Fred' Waegner." His surname was spelled "Waegner" in the baptism records of some of his children. He may have been a brother of John William Wagner, born Sep 1827 in Preussen, Germany. They both emigrated from Germany to Monroe County in 1869.) He emigrated in 1867 from Preussen (Prussia).1,2,3 by sailboat, landing in New York. They came to Wisconsin, home steading several "forties" in sections nine and sixteen of Adrian Township. The land was later acquired by Camp McCoy, leaving a building and seventy acres. In later years, the Camp again expanded, taking the remaining property. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.4 Fred appeared in the census in 1900 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.3 His occupation was "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.5 His household was on Hollister Avenue and his occupation was "Farmer, Retired." He appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.6 His household was at 723 Hollister Avenue. Fred died in February 1929 at the age of 87.1

Friedrich J. "Fred" WAEGNER Sr. and Wilhelmine "Minnie" SCHENDEL were married about 1866 in Preussen (Prussia).1 Wilhelmine "Minnie" SCHENDEL was born on 30 May 1847 in Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).1,7 (Her surname was spelled "Schindler" in the baptism record of her son Wilhelm in 1868, but as "Schendel" in the record of her son Richard in 1869 and as "Schindel" in the record of her daughter Marie in 1872.) She emigrated in 1867 from Preussen (Prussia).2 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.3 Minnie appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.5 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.6 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.2 Minnie died in September 1935 at the age of 88.1

Gustav Hermann "Jim" WAEGNER was born on 19 January 1874 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.1,4,7 He was baptized on 22 March 1874 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.7 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.3 He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Farm Laborer." Jim appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.5 He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Carpenter." He died on 20 December 1930 at the age of 56.1

He appeared in the census in 1900 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.3 He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Farm Laborer." Fred died on 12 January 1901 at the age of 24 in Monroe County, WI.1,8

Franz Otto "Frank" WAEGNER was born on 22 December 1877 in Wisconsin.1,4,7 He was baptized on 7 April 1878 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.7 He was probably baptised at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomah. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.3 He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Farm Laborer." Frank appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.2 He was living with his widowed mother. He died on 16 May 1964 at the age of 86.1,9 (The Oak Grove Cemetery records spell his surname as "Wagner.") He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.9 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
