She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Ridgeville, WI. She attended the Enterprise and Lutheran parochial schools of Ridgeville through the 8th grade.

She was confirmed on 7 April 1895 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶² at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Gusta appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹¹ She appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁷ She died in 1947 at the age of 67.^3,34 Gusta was buried in 1947 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁴ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Augusta Amelia Gehrke, second born and first daughter of John August and Maria Mittlestaedt Gehrke, was born in 1880 at Ridgeville, Monroe County, WI. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Ridgeville, WI. She attended the Enterprise and Lutheran parochial schools of Ridgeville through the 8th grade.
She was married to William Fredrick Schmasow in 1897. William was born in 1871. To this union eight children were born, Namely Gertrude Marie Louise, Vera Ida Birdle, Rosella Edna, Earl Victor, Leona, William E. (Howard), Clarence, and Rosina.
Augusta died in 1947 and William died in 1945.

The 1910 Census indicated that they had 7 children, of whom 6 were still living. Egbert had died prior to the census. Friedrich Wilhelm "Frederick" SCHMASOW Jr.², son of Wilhelm Friedrich SCHMASOW and Louisa THIEMANN, was born on 13 January 1871 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,4,36,61 He was baptized on 7 April 1871 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ He appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ Frederick was confirmed on 29 March 1885 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶³ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹¹ He appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁷ Before 1945 Frederick was in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ He was a railroad worker at the Railroad Shops. He died on 25 August 1945 at the age of 74 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³ He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁴ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Earl died on 26 April 1962 at the age of 55 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ He was a hospital worker at the Mendota Mental Hospital and then at the VA Hospital in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁴ in the Oak Grove Cemetery. He worked at Mendota Mental Hospital, then at the va hospital in Tomah, WI
74	v.	Rosina "Zina" SCHMASOW² was born about 1908 in Wisconsin.^1,3,27 (Some sources list her birh year as 1912, but she was listed in the 1910 Census as being 2 years old.) She appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁷ She died in 1912 at the age of 4.¹
75	vi.	Egbert Clarence SCHMASOW² was born on 3 February 1909 in Monroe County, WI.^1,46 He died before April 1910 at the age of 1.^1,27 (He was not listed before the family in the 1920 Census, so he died before it was conducted on April 27th.)
