32. Norma Francis FLIEDNER was born on 3 April 1906 in Monroe County, WI.^1,40 She appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁹ She appeared in the census in 1920 in Beloit Township, Rock County, WI.⁴³ Norma appeared in the census in 1930 in Beloit Township, Rock County, WI.⁴⁴ She and her daughter and son were living with her parents. She about December 1964.¹⁵ She wrote the following letter to Ruth Williams Barber:

"Dear Ruth and John. Just a line to let you know that we haven't forgotten you.

Merrill returned to work Nov. 2nd after being ill for five months. He had surgery in June and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Then he had one complication after another, including a blood clot, and a bad cardiac condition. He weighed 200 pounds before his illness and lost over 50 pounds. We were pretty worried about him, and still are. He is looking much better and feeling better, but still has to be very careful. Don't know what I would have done without our wonderful Jim. He was always near when I needed him.

I don't suppose you know that Aunt Lola Williams of Tomah died in October. She had been in a coma for 4 years. It was a blessing that she finally went to rest. We went to the service Oct. 31. Uncle Dick looks pretty good, but is ageing.

Aunt Bessie isn't too well. I understand she also is having trouble with her heart.

Aunt Hazel is fine and I see her often. She was real busy this week moving.
