He was born July 21, 1973, to Robert and Karon (Wagner) Knutson at Tomah. He attended St. Paul Ev. Lutheran School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1991 from Tomah Senior High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1991 until 1994. He was united in marriage to Sarah Schleicher June 22, 2002. Robert was currently employed at T. Foss Construction at Warrens. He was deeply loved by his family and many friends. The Sunday BBQs at his home were special. Robert enjoyed helping others, working on their cars, taking car of his pets and woodworking. He is survived by his wife Sarah of Tomah; two daughters, Audry and Amber Knutson; two step-children, Drake and Tori Turner; his father, Robert Knutson Sr. of Sparta; his mother, Karon (Kerry) Keene of Tomah; a brother, Jamie Knutson of Tomah; a sister, Kim (James) Dvorak of Tomah; his grandparents, Lucille Wagner and Tom and Leola Keene, all of Tomah; his mother-in-law, Rhonda Schleicher, and her parents, Cornelius and Doneen Schleicher, all of Tomah; aunts, and uncles, Barb (Tim) Doyle, Delores (Floyd) Hayes, Donny (Cathy) Wagner, Ron (Cindi) Wagner, Linda (Larry) Siekert, Donna (Darwyn) Kuehl, Frances (LeRoy) Simonson, Ronald (Debra) Keene, Vicki (Robert) Nemitz and Jeff Keene; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Byron Wagner, Frank and Leona Knutson; an aunt, Barb McMurtie, and a cousin, B.J. Peardot Jr. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah. Pastor Phillip M. Enderle officiated. Burial was in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Tomah. Visitation was Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of the services."
