172. Norman Leon VON HADEN was born on 15 December 1933 in Monroe County, WI.^16,265 He graduated in 1953 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^253,258 from Tomah High School. He died on 4 March 2011 at the age of 77 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC.²⁶⁵

Obituary Notes: "Norman Leon VonHaden, 77, of Charlotte, passed away on March 4, 2011 with his long time special friend, Isabelle, by his side. Norman was born Dec. 15, 1933 in Tomah to Vernie and Wanda (Kindt) VonHaden. He married Marilyn Mills in 1954 and later served the United States Army in Germany. Norm worked for various companies and was a business entrepreneur. After retiring, he drove for various trucking companies and permanently retired in 2009. Norm loved boating, snowmobiling, hunting and NASCAR racing. In his younger years, he loved to fly small planes and has his aviation license.

Norm is preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Marilyn; sister, Lila (Pete) Meeks; and brothers Donald (Rosemary), Eldred (Lauretta) and Paul (Barbara).

Norm is survived by his ling time special friend, Isabelle Baker; daughter, Cynthia (Donald) peer of Safety Harbor, Fla.; son, Scott (Connie Shearer) VonHaden of Ladysmith; two sisters, Elaine (Henry) Vieth of Fairbury, Neb., and Verdene (Robert) Larson. He is also survived by six grandchildren; nieces; nephews and many other friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 7, 2011, at 5 p.m. at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlorrte, NC 28210. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be left at www.McEwenPinevilleChapel.com."
