173. Donald E. "Don" VON HADEN was born on 23 September 1938 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.53 He died on 22 May 2008 at the age of 69 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.53

Obituary Notes: "Donald E. Von Haden, 69, of Tomah, died May 22, 2008, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. He was born Sept 23, 1938, to Vernie and Wanda (Kent) Von Haden in Wilton. He was united in marriage on Dec. 16, 1961, to Rosemarie “Rosie” Bilgrien in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on July 12, 2007. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Grassman-Sowle-Larsen-Senz American Legion Post #201, Tomah. He was a founding member of the Tomah I-Dividers Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and riding snowmobiles. He was an avid Packer fan/Brewers fan. Many Sunday afternoons were spent cheering on his team. “GO PACK GO”!

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Donald will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Donald is survived by his children: Daniel (Sue) of Tomah, Derrik of Florida, Deidre (Curtis) Nauman of Tomah, Denice (Robert) Moen of Minnesota, Denine (Dwayne) Voegeli of Winona, MN; 10 grandchildren, Misty (Justin) Fears of Las Vegas, NV, Danielle (Aaron) Williams, Joshua Von Haden, Alecia, Ariel and Kyle Nauman, all of Tomah, Tristan and Danneka Voegeli of Winona, Meghan Moen of Minneapolis, Chantel (Mike) Marx of Menomonie; a great-granddaughter, Desiree; two brothers, Eldred Von Haden and Norman Von Haden; two sisters, Verdeen (Bob) Larson of Waukesha and Elaine (Henry) Veith of Nebraska, and a very special sister-in-law, Sandy Von Haden. He is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and by many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie; a brother, Paul, and a sister, Lila.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 25, at 2 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St. Joseph Bilgrien officiated. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah.

Relatives and friends called on Sunday at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home from noon until the time of the service. The family requests memorials be given in Don’s memory to the American Stroke Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674."

Donald E. "Don" VON HADEN and Rosemarie "Rosie" BILGRIEN were married on 16 December 1961 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee Township, Milwaukee County, WI.53 Rosemarie "Rosie" BILGRIEN died on 12 July 2007.15
