During her teen years Jean began working for her father at Betthauser Lumber in Tunnel City, Wisconsin until 1973. She then worked for Sorensons, Inc. as a bookkeeper from 1973 until 1998. Together, Jean and Allen loved to bowl, and Jean was always rooting for Allen at his baseball games. She found great joy in participating at the Queen of the Apostles church activities and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Allen; her son, Mark Lind; and her siblings, Carol (Vern) Shier and Ruth (Norbert) Seiss. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Queen of the Apostles Parish in Tomah. Monsignor David Kunz will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery in Tunnel City. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m., at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Visitation will also be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jean's name to the Queen of the Apostles Parish or the Serenity House. The Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements."
