6. Martha Elizabeth BRANDAU was born on 23 February 1880 in Weissenhasel, Kreis Rotenburg, Hessen (Hesse) Province, Preussen (Prussia).1,20 She emigrated in March 1895 from Weissenhasel, Kreis Rotenburg, Hessen (Hesse) Province, Preussen (Prussia). She died on 5 January 1962 at the age of 81.1

Martha Elizabeth BRANDAU and Fred HYATT were married on 6 December 1898 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.1,15,20,21,22 at St. Jacob's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Fred HYATT, son of Alfred HYATT and Elizabeth LIBLEY, was born on 7 November 1872 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.1,20 He died on 15 May 1910 at the age of 37.1 of a ruptured appendix.

Martha Elizabeth BRANDAU and Johannes "John" BAUMBACH Sr. were married in 1919.1,10 (He was listed in the Jan 1920 Census with his first wife, Mary, so the date of his second marriage must be in error.) He and his second wife were married for less than 8 months when he died. Johannes "John" BAUMBACH Sr., son of Heinrich B. BAUMBACH and Martha Katherina KATZMANN, was born on 26 July 1852 in Pennsylvania.9,24 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Middletown Township, Dauphin County, PA.25 He appeared in the census in 1870 in Leon Township, Monroe County, WI.26 John appeared in the census in 1880 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.24 He and his wife and son were living next door to his parents and the rest of their family. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.9 He appeared in the census in 1910 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.7 John appeared in the census in January 1920 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.10 His occupation was "Carpenter." He appeared in the census in 1930 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.8 His household was 312 South L Street. He died in 1935 at the age of 83.27 John was buried in 1935 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.27 in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
