15. Joachim Friedrich VON BRANDENBURG (+)3 was born on 27 January 1546 in Koln (Cologne), Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine-Westphalia) Province, Margraviate of Brandenburg.3 He died on 18 July 1608 at the age of 62.3 Life Sketch: "Joachim Friedrich of Brandenburg, of the Hohenzollern dynasty succeeded his father Johann George as margrave and elector of Brandenburg in 1598, and was in turn succeeded at his death by his son John Sigismund. From 1566 to 1598 he was administrator of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg.

His first marriage in 1570 was to Catherine, Princess of Brandenburg-Küstrin (1549–1602), daughter of John I, Margrave of Brandenburg-Küstrin, and Catherine, Duchess of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel.

Joachim Frederick's second marriage, in 1603, was to Eleonore of Hohenzollern (1583–1607), daughter of Albert Frederick, Duke of Prussia and Mary Eleonore of Cleves. He became regent of the Duchy of Prussia in 1605, because Albert Frederick was becoming increasingly ill.

Both of Johann Georg's wifes and some of his children are buried in the crypt underneath the Berlin Cathedral." He was buried in Berlin, Brandenburg Province, Margraviate of Brandenburg.3 in the Berliner dom.

Joachim Friedrich VON BRANDENBURG (+) and Katharina VON BRANDENBURG-KUSTRIN (+) were married in 1570.3 Katharina VON BRANDENBURG-KUSTRIN (+)3 was born on 10 August 1549.3 She died on 10 October 1602 at the age of 53.3 She was buried in Berlin, Brandenburg Province, Margraviate of Brandenburg.3 in the Berliner dom.
