We and each of us acknowledges ourselves bound unto his Excellency Benjamin Smith Esq., Governor of this State aforesaid and the sum of five hundred pounds to be void upon condition there is no legal impediment why a marriage should not be had & solemnized between Kinchen Bridgers ______ and Suckey Lassiter ______ for whom a license now .... Witness ... and sealed this ... day of Dec. 1811.
