Corlys Veldon BROOKMAN and Marion L. RITCHART were married on 29 May 1945. Marion L. RITCHART, daughter of Roy C. RITCHART and Lulu I. TAYLOR, was born on 5 July 1925 in Lisbon, Juneau County, WI. She died on 11 February 2017 at the age of 91 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI. Obituary Notes: "Marion Lou Brookman Hansen, 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at the Tomah Nursing and Rehab Center in Tomah after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. Marion was born July 6, 1925 in the town of Lisbon to Roy and Lulu (Taylor) Ritchart. She spent most of her young life on the Ritchart family farms on Taylor Road and on County B near New Lisbon. She attended school grade and high schools in New Lisbon. She was united in marriage to Corlys V. Brookman May 29, 1945, at which time she moved to the Brookman Century farm homestead. Corlys and Marion raised five children, crops and livestock on the family farm for the next 35 years, until his death in 1982. In April 2001, she married Clayton Hansen. They would have celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary this year, which is amazing considering Marion was 77, and Clayton 79, when they married. Marion was a member of the St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church at Indian Creek. Marion was active in her church, community groups, and a Tomah school bus driver for 34 years in the Clifton area. All the local children and their children knew the bus driver well and most remained lifetime family friends. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards at the local towns. She loved to sew and knit, making many beautiful embroidered pictures, dresser scarves and dish clothes. She made over a hundred small quilts for children, grandchildren and friends. Marion is survived by her husband, Clayton; children, Pat (Tom) Jones of Lodi, Wis., Larry of Kendall of Clifton, Wis., Betty (Larry) Murphy of Camp Douglas, Scott (Stephanie) of Tomah and Barb (John) Kratche of Tomah; grandchildren, LeeAnn (Jim) Adams, Tacoma, Wash., Judy Wallace, Waunakee, Wis., Tina (Steve) Yagla, Eden, Utah, Neacia (Luis) Pacheco, Madison, Wis, Troy (Sandy) Brookman, Tomah, David (Katelyn) Murphy, Marshfield, Wis., Manisha (Lee) Coley, Tampa, Fla., Jenna (Matt) Olson, Warrens, Ryan (Cathy) Brookman, Tomah, Brittany (Rich) Thiele, Bloomington, Minn., Tiffany Brookman, Green Valley, Ariz., Barry (Jenni Tupper) Kratche, Tomah; great-grandchildren, Alexa Adams, Andre and Travis Wallace, Khael and Isla Pacheco, Braden and Briar Brookman, Mikayla and Ethan Olsen, Andrew and Alexandra Brookman, Brynlee Thiele. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. stepchildren, Eugene (Barb) Hansen, Kenny (Nancy), David (Sally), Barbie (August) Lueck, Janet (Bob) Jones, Dennis (Melida) Hansen, Duane (Diane) Hansen, Patty (David) Gerke; and their extended families. Marion was preceded in death by Corlys; and infant son, Gary Lynn; her parents; brothers, Clayton (Elsie), Wayne, Stuart (Barbara), Roy Jr. (Marian) and Donald (Lucille) Ritchart; sister, Evelyne (Gib) Lee; other Brookman family, Fred and Irene Brookman, Gilbert and Marlys Schultz, Merel and Garnet Brookman. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, 30032 County Hwy. A, Indian Creek, town of Clifton. Pastor Matthew Minzlaff will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E.
