Edith Lois CASSITY was born on 16 January 1892 in Reedsburg, Sauk County, WI.^10,13,46,67 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Grand Rapids Township, Wood County, WI.^10,19 According to her daughter, Rose Street Wheeler, when Edith's mother died in October 1900, she went to live with her oldest sister, Elizabeth, in Sauk County. She appeared in the census in 1910 in Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ She was living with her brother Tom and his wife, Blanche Street. Edith appeared in the census in January 1920 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.^19,46 Their home burned to the ground in 1926. The family was able to escape unharmed, but they lost their home and all of their possessions. After the fire, they went to live with her parents in Tomah. To earn money, Edith worked as a house-cleaner for various families. She appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ She appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶⁸ Her occupation was "Seamstress, W.P.A. Sewing Project." Her total wages in 1939 were $380. Edith lived at her home in Salem, Marion County, OR in October 1961.² She died in January 1971 at the age of 79 in Salem, Marion County, OR.^19,67 She was buried in Salem, Marion County, OR.¹⁹ in the Crestview Cemetery.

Edith Lois CASSITY and Benjamin William "Benny" STREET were married on 30 April 1916 in Monroe County, WI.^9,62,69 (Her surname was listed as "Cassidy" in the newspaper article about their marriage.) Benjamin William "Benny" STREET, son of Henry Gladwell STREET and Mary Celinda KENNEDY, was born on 13 March 1882 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^62,67 He appeared in the census in 1900 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁸ He was living with his parents and his occupation was listed as "Day Laborer." In January 1907 he was a farmer in Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷⁰ Benny appeared in the census in April 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ He and his second wife, Cassie, were living with his parents and his occupation was "Laborer, Odd Jobs." He registered for the Military Draft on 12 September 1918 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI. ⁴⁵ He appeared in the census in January 1920 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁶ His occupation was "Farmer, General Farm." Their farm was located near those of Charles and Julia Reynolds and Severin and Tillie Severson. He appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ He and his family lived at 604 Superior Avenue with his mother, Mary, and one of her great-granddaughters, Ruth Griggs.

They moved to Washington and Oregon in 1959, when their daughter Rose married there. Benny appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶⁸ His household was at 604 Superior Avenue and he had no occupation. He died in February 1967 at the age of 84 in Salem, Marion County, OR.⁶⁷ He was buried in Salem, Marion County, OR.¹⁹ in the Crestview (or City View) Cemetery.
