He was born on Oct. 7, 1938, a son of William F. K. Arndt and Dortha (Cassity) Arndt. He was raised on a farm north of Barneveld, and attended Barneveld Schools. He married Patricia Jones in 1962 and farmed in the Hollandale area for many years. William is survived by his daughter, Karen (Scott) Thompson, and his son, Tom (Lori) Arndt, both of Hollandale; his grandsons, Justin Thompson, and Cayden and Blake Arndt; his sisters, Anna (David) Keister of Arena and Viola (Raymond) Scheidegger of Juda; and his brothers, Ronald (Eileen) Arndt of Dodgeville, and Herman (Tammy) Arndt of Winslow, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant son, James. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at GORGEN-McGINLEY AND AYERS FUNERAL HOME, Dodgeville. Pastor Jon Kosec, of Perry Lutheran Church in Daleyville, will officiate. Inurnment will be held in White Church Cemetery, Barneveld. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
