John DE BACON I (*) was born in 1272 in Bradfield St. George, Suffolk County, England.4,5,6 Bradfield St. George is a village and civil parish in the West Suffolk district of Suffolk, England, about 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Bury St Edmunds. According to Eilert Ekwall the meaning of the village name is 'broad field'.
The Domesday Book records the population (including Bradfield Combust and Bradfield St Clare) to be 76 people in 1086. In 2001, the population was 386 people (not including Bradfield Combust and Bradfield St. Clare). St. George's Church contains an east window by the noted Pre-Raphaelite artist and designer Edward Arthur Fellowes Prynne[2] He died in 1358 at the age of 86 in Bradfield St. George, Suffolk County, England.5

John DE BACON I (*) and Alice ASSEY (*) were married in Hessett, Suffolk County, England.4,5 Alice ASSEY (*) was born about 1279 in Of Hesset, Suffolk County, England.2 She died about 1339 at the age of 60 in Bradfield St. George, Suffolk County, England.2
