She appeared in the census in 1840 in Fayston Township, Washington County, VT.64 She appeared in the census in 1850 in Fayston Township, Washington County, VT.65 Emiline died on 7 November 1859 at the age of 24 in Waitsfield Township, Washington County, VT.44,70,94,96 Her death is listed as 3 Nov 1887 in some records, but she was not listed with her husband and family in the 1860 Census. Also, his second wife, Roxanna, was listed in the 1870 and 1880 Census records, so Emily may have died before 1860 and Ira married Roxanna shortly after 1860. It is also possible that Emily and Ira divorced.

TAYLOR were married on 10 March 1857 in Fayston Township, Washington County, VT.78,95,168 At the time of the death of their son Wilbur, two brothers and four sisters survived him, so Emilie and Ira had at least seven children. Ira C. TAYLOR, son of Daniel TAYLOR and Rachel COURSER, was born on 4 November 1833 in Warren, Washington County, VT.94 He appeared in the census in 1850 in Waitsfield Township, Washington County, VT.65 His occupation was listed as "Laborer." He appeared in the census in 1860 in Waitsfield Township, Washington County, VT.66 His household consisted of Ira, age 26, occupation "Farmer;" his son Wilbur, age 2; Paul Taylor, age 64 (probably Ira's father); Rachel Taylor, age 51 (probably his mother); and Lucy Benton, age 17, a "Domestic." Ira's wife, Emily, was not listed in the household. Ira appeared in the census in 1870 in Fayston Township, Washington County, VT.90 He appeared in the census in 1880 in Morgan, Orleans County, VT.169 His household consisted of Ira, age 46, occupation "Farmer;" his wife, Roxanna, age 47; their seven children; George Wilder, age 17, relationship not indicated; and Betsey C. Martin, age 75, "mother-in-law." He died on 20 January 1891 at the age of 57.94
