(The 1910 Census listed his year of emigration as 1892, but the 1900 and 1920 listed it as 1890.)
. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ His household consisted of August "Dagler," age 50 (not correct); his wife, Bertha, 42; and their children, "Powell," 12; August, 9; Matie, 4; and Harry, 2. His occupation was listed as "Farmer."

. Johann appeared in the census in 1910 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ His household was on Brookdale Road and consisted of August, age 60; his wife, Bertha, age 53; and their children, Matie, age 14, and Harry, age 12. His occupation was "Farmer, General Farm."

. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Racine, Racine County, WI.⁷ His household was at 719 Madison Court in the 5th Ward and consisted of August, age 70; his wife, Bertha, age 63; and their children, Harry, age 22, and Matie, age 24.

. He appeared in the census in 1930 in Racine, Racine County, WI.⁸ He was listed as August "Dekler" and his household consisted of himself, age 80; his wife, Bertha, 75; and their son, Harry, 38. They lived at 719 Madison Court.

. Johann died in 1940 at the age of 90 in Racine, Racine County, WI.^1,4

Johann August DEGLER and Mathilda Bertha KROLL were married on 13 March 1876 in Runau, Czarnikau, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,3,4,5,6 According to the 1900 Census, they had been married for 25 years and had nine children, of whom seven were living at the time. According to the 1910 Census, they had been married for 30 years and had five children, all of whom were living at the time.

Mathilda Bertha KROLL³, daughter of Johann KROLL and Wilhelmine GEHRKE, was born on 18 October 1856 in Ivenbusch, Filehne District, Kreis Czarnikau, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^3,4,5,9 She was christened on 27 October 1856 in Gornitz, Kreis Filehne, Bromberg Regierungsbezirk (District), Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).⁹ She emigrated in July 1890 from Preussen (Prussia).^5,6,9 Mathilda appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ She appeared in the census in 1910 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ She appeared in the census in 1920 in Racine, Racine County, WI.⁷ Mathilda appeared in the census in 1930 in Racine, Racine County, WI.⁸ She died on 15 July 1932 at the age of 75 in Racine, Racine County, WI.^3,4
