Lyle Ellsworth WAEGE was born on 17 March 1914 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^11,12,26 He appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ He appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ Lyle appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵ He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Laborer, Farm." He died on 8 February 1996 at the age of 81 in Merrill, Lincoln County, WI.¹² Obituary Notes: "Lyle E. Waege, 81, N3590 Lecks Lane, Merrill, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 1996, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.

He was a retired machinist for George W. Morris Corp., Racine. He served in the U.S. Army, 24th Calvary Division, during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Waege; two daughters, Eunice (Ronald) Scheibe, Brookfield, and Nancy LeAir, Racine; one son, William (Joann) Amerson, Chelmsford, Mass.; one brother, Robert (Arlene) Waege, Tomah; three sisters, Bernice Lauden, Arlene (Alan) Betthauser and Don Elaine (August) Zimmerman, all of Tomah; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Taylor-Mann-Stein Funeral Home Chapel, Merrill. Burial will be at Gleason Cemetery, town of Russell. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home." He was buried on 13 February 1996 in Gleason, Lincoln County, WI.¹² at Gleason Cemetery.

Lyle Ellsworth WAEGE and Lucille Isabell "Lou" POLLACK were married on 5 July 1958.¹² Lucille Isabell "Lou" POLLACK was born on 11 January 1918.⁴ She died on 29 April 2002 at the age of 84.³⁰ She was buried in Gleason, Lincoln County, WI.³⁰ in the Gleason Cemetery.
